City Barbeque – Hourly Shift Manager – Newark Location Only
Essential Job Functions:
The Shift Manager works under the direction of the Restaurant General Manager and Assistant General Manager and is responsible for managing activities related to daily restaurant operations. These duties include, but are not limited to: customer service, interviewing, working with the GM and AGM to meet sales and operational goals, training employees, banking and administrative responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Knowledge and Critical Skills:
Shift Managers should have strong people-orientated leadership skills, excellent communication, decision-making and problem solving skills and a desire for personal and professional growth. At least 3 years previous management experience is required, preferably in the restaurant or other hospitality setting.
Physical Demands:
Managers may be required to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time during high business volume (2-3 hours).
Moderate lifting (less than 20 lbs) regularly as needed.
Heavy lifting (more than 20 lbs, less than 50 lbs) occasionally, but not on a regular basis.
